Porsche 550A Spyder
The Porsche 550A Spyder #48 was raced in the 1958 Buenos Aires 1000km entered by the driver quartet featuring Stirling Moss, Jean Behra, Huschke von Hanstein and Edgar Barth. Only Stirling Moss and Jean Behra ultimately drove the car to success. The small engined racer managed to come up from 14th on the grid to 3rd overall, beaten only by the more powerful Ferraris.
The car finished first in class, just 7 minutes behind the overall leader and a formidable 19 minutes in front of the next class participant.
